fancy making a career out of lifesaving?

Do you want to work as a lifeguard on beaches or at swimming pools in the UK and around the world?

We offer a complete range of Beach Lifeguarding and Pool Lifeguarding Awards to suit you.

Beach Lifeguard

The Beach Lifeguard qualification is an essential requirement for working as a lifeguard on British beaches and is recognised by many international lifesaving bodies.

Training involves a series of modules combining practical and theory sessions with an average of 3-5 hours spent in the water each day.

This is aimed at candidates who wish to become beach lifeguards for the first time and who have little previous knowledge or experience of beach lifeguarding.

Course Entry Requirements

  • Candidates must be at least 16 yrs of age and have a good level of fitness.
  • Candidates must be able to swim 400m in less than 7 mins 30 Secs.
  • Candidates must be able to dive to a depth of 2m and tread water for 2 mins.

As well as leading to jobs as beach lifeguards and surf instructors, the qualification can act as a stepping stone to other careers in the emergency services.

If you love the surf and the outdoor life, then a beach based career could be for you...
